Day 15.

Good evening.

So I am sitting here in a nice comfy chair in New York and I am ready to share with you what I did today. Okay, So we woke up around 11am. I freshened up and Laxys nice aunt made us a feast for lunch/breakfast.  We also watched some of the Michael Jackson ceremony on TV. It was pretty sad. We then made our way into the city to try and meet up with Adam.  We parked down the street from central park. So on this street there was a sign that said pay meter to park here. So we paid the 5 dollar fee for a 2 hour parking spot. Remember this for later. Alright, so we walked down to Carnegie hall which is on 58th and 7th ave. Or somewhere around there. Took some pics of it and continued into Central Park. This was my first time in central park so I was very excited.  Every bridge and tunnel we saw reminded me of Home Alone 2, and reminded us (Jake, Laxy and I) of Cloverfield. We kept saying that every tunnel we were in was where they died in cloverfield. Oh and on the way to Central park and at some parts inside it, it smelt like bum piss. We walked around the park for a while longer, checked out a souvenir shop, some little softball fields, and the mall in central park. On our way out we walked by the pond which was cool. Okay so when we got back to our car we found a parking ticket on the window! What is whack is we paid for a parking permit and still got a ticket. On the ticket under violation it said no standing from 7am to 7pm…what the hell is standing!? so we are pretty bummed about that because the ticket set us back $115 big ones. We left in anger and drove to a mobil to get gas. Jake did a great job driving in the city, very New York of him. After the gas station we made our way to Citibank park which is not where the mets play. Franky was having a rough day today and told us to go to citibank park which looked like a minor league field. It was also almost an hour away from Citi field where the mets play. Well we showed up to the wrong park at around 720. The game started at 710 so we were already running late. Not only that, Adam had already showed up to the park with Amanda and some others and we had their tickets. Thankfully Adam was able to have the customer service print out new tickets and void the ones we had so they could get into the park without waiting. It took us about an hour to finally get to the ball park. Parking was kind of a bitch. There was only one opening for the lot and we drove passed it. So we had to drive all the way around the area just to get back on track. We stopped in a lot to ask where general parking was and the nice man told us. He said we could park across the street, or on the side we were on. He then warned us saying we did not want to park across the street. Probably because the area was kind of ghetto.

Well we finally made it into the stadium lot. Laxy picked up his ticket from the window while Jake and I got our tickets from Adam. We went into the park and walked around. The Dodgers were already up 4-0 which was awesome! There were quite a lot of Dodger fans too! When Manny ramirez came up to bat some booed, others cheered. There was a section by where Jake and I were standing who were chanting “Manny… Manny” which was cool. Blake Dewitt hit a homer! The Dodgers ended up winning 8 – 0. I was so happy to see my team win it across the United States. It was really cool to see them playing at the new citi field. This fan was also chatting with me when we were standing on the field level. She told us where to check out some of the cool things the field had to offer. Like the old home run apple from the old stadium and a dedication to Jackie Robinson behind home plate. After the game we made our way back to Laxy’s relatives house. Here we ate some KFC and now its almost bed time. I will be writing soon.
Goodnight
