We found a rest area on the way to cooperstown and used it to our advantage. After some sleep, we continued driving to cooperstown. The drive there was really nice. Seeing the sights of upstate New York was awesome. We got into cooperstown and it was amazing. The baseball hall of fame is in a small town. Its got a nice little main street and some houses. We drove around for a little trying to find a nice place to park. We found a spot in the neighborhood that had a 2 hour limit. We parked, and made our way to the hall of fame.
The hall of fame is awesome! There is so much cool stuff in there. Its got the coolest stuff to see throughout baseball’s history. It’s real cool to see bats, gloves, balls that were actually used in some of the biggest moments in baseball. After a couple hours spent inside the musuem we finished up in the souvenir shop. I got a sweet dodgers shirt that has a list of all the dodgers inducted into the hall of fame.
We left the hall of fame and moved our car into another parking spot. On our way back to the car we stopped at doubleday field to watch some adult hardball league. We moved the car and walked through all the souvenir shops. They have everything a baseball fan needs. After searching through all the different shops we stopped in a pizza restaurant for some lunch. The pizza was pretty tasty, I got a supreme pizza slice. We ate, hung out and watched the rain. We heard some locals talking about rain, and saw a weather alert on the TV about some thunderstorms on the TV. The rain hit pretty hard, but did not last for too long.
We hopped in the car and left Cooperstown. We were now on our way to Detroit to hang out and stay with Tex! On the drive to Michigan we wanted to stop at some 711′s for free slurpees but unfortunately could not find any at all because we were pretty much in the middle of nowhere in new york. We made a little pit stop at a mall in Johnson city, new york. We dropped laxy off at a guitar center and Jake, Adam and I explored the mall. We asked some girl who worked at a Friendlys what the place was all about. It looked like a DQ mixed with a red robin. We also found laxy, it turns out the guitar center was closed so he just came to the mall. The mall didn’t have a food court! I asked some girl who worked at a piercing parlor in the middle of the mall what there was to do around town and where we were. Shes the one who told me we were in johnson city, new york. She said we were really in the middle of nowhere and the only thing to really do was a downtown main street area about 15 minutes away from the mall. We left the mall and went to a taco bell across the street. We were originally going to a dunkin donuts but changed our minds. I got a fresca burrito and a large baja blast. They were delicious. We left taco bell and continued our journey into Michigan. Jake and Laxy slept in the back like women, while Adam and I stayed awake into Michigan. While driving some wild bitch cut through 2 lanes headed into ours and almost sideswiped us so Adam gave her hell. Oh we also drove through the scariest area ever looking for gas! we almost ran into 4 deers it was very scary. We found another rest area about 30 miles outside of detroit and slept there.
